Application Review Process
At LawGrad Launch, every application review is tailored to the individual. Some law graduates benefit from quick, focused feedback, while others appreciate more in-depth coaching and support. We adapt our input to meet each candidate’s needs, ensuring every application is clear, professional, and compelling.
Time Commitment
Our input usually takes around 1–2 hours, depending on the complexity of your draft and your goals. For first-time applicants, we recommend setting aside approximately 16 hours to produce a high-standard application—including time for reflection, drafting, and revisions.
Initial Coaching Session (45 minutes)
Your application support begins with a one-to-one coaching session. We’ll discuss your experiences, how to position them effectively, and strategies for approaching the application as a whole. This session is designed to save time and reduce frustration later in the process. Available via Zoom, MS Teams, FaceTime, phone, or in person.
Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions about how the review process works? You’re not alone. We’ve answered some of the most common queries below to help you understand what to expect, how we work, and how our tailored support can help you build a stronger application with confidence. If you’re still unsure about anything, we’re always happy to talk it through.
How long does the application review process take?
The time required varies depending on the individual and the complexity of the application. Typically, our input takes around 1–2 hours, spread across review and feedback sessions. For first-time applicants, we recommend setting aside approximately 16 hours in total—including your own time to reflect, draft, and revise. We work flexibly and at your pace, so you’re never rushed. If you’re working to a specific deadline, just let us know—we can usually adapt the schedule to meet your needs.
Can I get feedback more than once?
Yes—absolutely. We offer unlimited redrafts as part of the review process. You’ll receive detailed, constructive feedback at every stage, and we’ll keep refining your application together until you feel confident submitting it. Whether you want to revise a section multiple times or need help polishing your final draft, we’re here to support you as much or as little as you need.
What kind of feedback will I receive?
You’ll receive honest, practical, and targeted feedback on both the content and structure of your application. We focus particularly on self-assessment and competency sections, helping you strengthen your examples, improve clarity, and align your responses with what legal recruiters are looking for. We won’t rewrite your application for you—but we will help you say what you mean in a professional, confident, and effective way.
How do we work together—remotely or in person?
We work however suits you best. Coaching and feedback can be delivered via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, FaceTime, phone, email, or in person (if local). Many of our clients prefer a combination—using video for coaching sessions and email for draft reviews. We’re flexible and responsive, so you can focus on writing a great application without worrying about logistics.
