At LawGrad Launch, we specialise in helping aspiring solicitors and law graduates secure training contracts and succeed in the modern legal profession. Our expert coaching combines insider knowledge of the recruitment process with practical guidance on applications, interviews, and commercial awareness.

Whether you studied law or a different discipline, we’ll help you translate your strengths into success. Our approach is supportive, strategic, and completely personalised — giving you the clarity and confidence to stand out in a competitive field.  We’ve supported candidates across the UK in achieving their career goals, from securing vacation schemes and training contracts at top firms to building professional confidence at every stage of their journey.

LawGrad Launch is a specialist coaching and mentoring service for aspiring solicitors. We help students and graduates at all stages of their legal career journey — from early exploration to training contract offers. Our tailored support covers application strategy, CV and cover letter reviews, commercial awareness training, and mock interviews. Unlike general career advisors, we focus exclusively on legal recruitment, meaning our advice aligns with the expectations of top law firms. Whether you’re a law student preparing for vacation scheme applications or a non-law graduate transitioning into the SQE route, our goal is simple: to help you secure your ideal training contract with clarity, confidence, and professionalism.

Our services are open to anyone pursuing a legal career in the UK — whether you’re studying law, completing a conversion course, or coming from a non-law background. We work with undergraduate students exploring legal careers, postgraduate students preparing for SQE or LPC pathways, and graduates seeking training contracts or paralegal experience. We also support international candidates aiming to qualify in England and Wales. You don’t need prior legal experience to benefit — just commitment and curiosity. Each programme is designed around your personal goals, academic background, and target firms, ensuring tailored, achievable guidance from the very first session.

Our training contract support is built on detailed, one-to-one coaching. We start by understanding your strengths, experiences, and career goals. Then, we help you craft compelling application answers that reflect your personality while aligning with what recruiters value — clear motivation, firm-specific research, and strong commercial awareness. We review and refine every section, from competency examples to cover letters, ensuring clarity and impact. Beyond writing, we coach you on time management, interview performance, and how to approach assessment centres confidently. We don’t use templates or one-size-fits-all solutions — every application is uniquely tailored to your background and ambitions.

Not necessarily. Many solicitors in the UK began their journey with non-law degrees in subjects such as history, philosophy, or business. What matters is your reasoning ability, communication skills, and commercial understanding — all of which can be developed and demonstrated through targeted preparation. With the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) now in place, non-law graduates can complete a conversion course (GDL or PGDL), sit the SQE, and gain Qualifying Work Experience before admission. At LawGrad Launch, we’ve helped candidates from a wide range of academic backgrounds navigate this pathway successfully, turning diverse experiences into strong, distinctive applications.

LawGrad Launch stands apart because we focus exclusively on legal careers and offer tailored, one-to-one guidance rather than generic advice. Every client works directly with a coach who understands the realities of legal recruitment — from vacation scheme deadlines to partner interviews. Our approach is strategic but supportive: we help you understand what firms want, but we also make sure your applications sound authentic and distinctive. We emphasise commercial awareness, clear writing, and interview confidence — all delivered in plain English, not jargon. We also keep our guidance current, adapting to SQE reforms and market trends, so you’re always one step ahead.

Ideally, you should start preparing as early as possible — but it’s never too late. Law firms often recruit up to two years in advance, so early planning gives you more time to build experience and strengthen your applications. For law students, this might mean applying for first-year insight schemes or summer vacation placements. For non-law students, preparation often begins during your conversion course. At LawGrad Launch, we’ll help you identify where you are in the process and create a clear, achievable plan to move forward. Even a few targeted sessions can make a major difference to your readiness and results.

Getting started is simple. You can contact us through our website or email to arrange an initial consultation. During this session, we’ll discuss your current stage, challenges, and goals, and suggest the most effective support plan for you — whether that’s a one-off application review or a longer coaching programme. Sessions are available online across the UK and can be scheduled flexibly around study or work commitments. We believe in accessible, personal guidance that empowers you to take control of your future. Once you join LawGrad Launch, you’ll have a professional partner guiding you at every stage of your legal career journey.
